COLD BOND ADHESIVES

The IMTECH® STR cold bond adhesives family features a superior two-part contact adhesive for quick and environmentally-friendly cold bonding of rubber-to-metal and rubber-to-rubber. STR also excels in bonding rubber-to-fabric as with cold splicing of fabric ply conveyor belts and the application of cold repair materials. The key to a successful bonding process is in fully understanding the application procedures and limitations of chemical adhesives, both in the workshop and in the field.

A superior two-part contact adhesive, free of chlorinated hydrocarbons, for quick and environmentally-friendly cold bonding of rubber-to-metal and rubber-to-rubber. A superior non-flammable two-part contact adhesive for cold bonding.  Also excels in bonding rubber-to-fabric as with cold splicing of fabric ply conveyor belts and the application of cold repair materials. Use in a well-ventilated area.

A superior white food grade, two-part contact adhesive for quick and easy cold bonding of rubber-to-metal and rubber-to-rubber. Also excels in bonding rubber to fabric as with cold splicing of fabric ply conveyor belts and the application of cold repair materials. STR-FG is non-flammable, but must be applied in a well ventilated area.

STR Metal Primer is used in conjunction with IMTECH® STR adhesive systems to provide optimum bonding of rubber lining and lagging products to steel surfaces. It is recommended that the metal primer be applied to the steel substrate immediately after the metal cleaning or grit blasting process. When blasted parts are to be left for a few days prior to lining or lagging, STR Metal Primer will protect the steel surface from oxidation when stored in a suitable environment.

IMTECH STR-Hardeners, are designed to work with IMTECH adhesives to assure optimum bonding. Mix thoroughly by stirring the hardener with the appropriate adhesive.

STR-H35 is used with STR 2100 and STR PVC adhesives. 1 bottle hardener for 1 liter of adhesive and 5 bottles of hardener for 4 liters of adhesive.

STR-H40 is used with STR FG Food Grade adhesive. 1 bottle of hardener for 1 kg and 5 bottles of hardener for 5 kg of adhesive.

STR-H80 is used with STR 2000 adhesive. 1 bottle of hardener for 1 kg of adhesive and 5 bottles of hardener for 5 kg of adhesive.

STR-Tri is a cold cleaning solvent used primarily for vapor degreasing of zinc, aluminum, brass, bronze and steel parts during fabrication. It will remove soils, metal chips and fines accumulated during fabrication to help leave a prepared surface free of containments.

STR Sealant is a unique non-sag adhesive formulated specially to meet high-performance industrial requirements. It is used to seal the joints against material fines and moisture when applying rubber lining and lagging. In addition to outstanding wear and abrasion resistant properties, STR Sealant has excellent adhesion values to steel and rubber.
